How many coconuts does it actually take to make a litre of virgin coconut oil — and what should that litre fairly cost? This calculator pulls today’s real wholesale coconut price from our Coconut Price Tracker and lets you adjust the yield, wastage, and margin assumptions yourself.
Whole coconuts trade by weight, not by piece — this converts today’s per-quintal mandi price into a price per coconut.
Cold-press / wet-milled VCO typically needs 8–15 coconuts per litre depending on nut size, maturity and extraction efficiency — industrial copra-expeller methods can be more efficient. Adjust to what you know about your own process.
